Your Wedding Day Time Line

Your big day is here

It’s your wedding day! Gather together your wedding party, crack open the champagne and enjoy a spot of breakfast.

It’s time to get ready in your suites

The Abbey has two stunning suites for you to get ready during the big day. The bridal suite is complete with a dedicated “get ready” area, with four vanity stations, a floor to ceiling threefold mirror and plenty of natural light. Making it the perfect space for the bridal party to get ready in. You can also see out into the front courtyard so you can watch your loved ones arrive. The Honeymoon suites has two vanity stations and plenty of space to hang suits for the groom and his groomsmen to get ready.

Exclusively Yours – Your suppliers start to arrive

Whilst you and your loved ones are getting ready and creating those special memories together, your suppliers will start to arrive and work their magic on our beautiful venue, to turn your wedding dreams into a reality.

Guests start to arrive

There’s an hour to go until your ceremony, which means your guests will be starting to arrive. You can watch them arrive from the comfort of our bridal and grooms suites.

Time to say “I do”

It is time to head to our historic chapel where you will say your vows. Walk down the aisle to the soundtrack of your favourite song and meet your partner to say
“I do.”

Reception Drinks

Now that the legalities are out of the way, it is time for the celebrations to begin! Enjoy a drinks reception with your favourite people in our lavender filled courtyard or gorgeous Garden Parlour.

Your banquet awaits in your Ballroom

After drinks, nibbles and socialising it is time for your Wedding meal in the ballroom. Our sample menus for your wedding meal include dishes such as Irish Beef Fillet, Bantry Bay Salmon, delicious vegetarian dishes, and mouthwatering desserts of Chocolate fondant, banoffee pie, and more.

Evening Guests arrive

After a delicious meal and speeches, it’s time to welcome your evening guests ready for the part to start!

Get the party Started

Let the celebrations begin!

First dance and cake cutting

Take to the floor for your first dance as a married couple, as your guests join you on the dancefloor the party will be well and truly in full swing

Late food

After an hour or so of dancing, it’s time to fuel up on some delicious food again!

Party the night away

Once your evening food has been served, and your guests re-fuelled, it’s time to party the night away until the early hours!

The Day Before

The Abbey will be exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding celebrations. You’ll receive a warm welcome when you arrive, from that moment on our team will take away all of the stress so you can enjoy the celebrations. Check into your wedding suites and enjoy a few hours of relaxation while your guests arrive. Then the celebrations can begin! Whether you want the whole family together for a meal or two separate celebrations for the bride and the groom we’ve got you covered!

The Day After

Enjoy a slow morning together as a married couple, surrounded by your closest family and friends. After a night of partying, a hearty, relaxed breakfast is in order. Spend the morning catching up and reliving the night before surrounded by delicious food and, perhaps more importantly, coffee! In the afternoon we can fire up the BBQ for a leisurely lunch. The rest of the day is up to you.
